Notebook Computers (typical installation)
- Locate the pest position for your iMac. Determine the best anchor point. This may be to loop the cable around a sturdy leg of fixture where it cannot be undone without unlocking the notebook cable lock.
- If no anchor point is available, an optional anchor plate may need to be fitted.
- Begin the installation at the anchor point. Attach the security cable to fixed location as shown below, or mount the adhesive anchor plate to underside of desk. (One way security screws are provided for extra strength.
- Thread the cable through the cable trap (if appropriate).
- Unlock the locking head with the key supplied (the key will remain attached when unlocked).
- Pass the security cable through the hole in the iMac stand with the other cables if you desire.
- Locate the security slot on computer and insert the locking pins into the security slot. Taking care that the locking pins are fully inserted, gently turn the key to rotate the “T” pin in the slot.
- The key can be removed when the cable is locked.
- Check to see if your cable is firmly attached.
